Does SiL like this song?? Well, my first response would be HELL NO, but after some information I found out this week, I can’t stand behind 100% by my answer.
Homework/Project
Last week I watched a friend help his kids with homework and go through the dinner process with them. Reminded me of the many hours spent over the years helping Cuzzie with her homework. The assignment I was most proud of was her presentation on bridges. I’d help her with any subject except spelling. Why you ask? Plain and simple….she couldn’t spell to save her life.
Where’s Cuzzie?
In her comment yesterday, Cuzzie reminded me that I do have a daughter of my own. Can you help me find that daughter in her 1st grade class picture? People my age have a hard time remembering what people looked like 19 years ago.

School starts
It’s that time of year again. All around the country proud parents will be sending their growing little children off for their first day of elementary school. None of them will be as cute as SiL.

Blood

Football soon
Driving through the desert on a HOT summer day, I passed a Corolla with a huge Eagles emblem on the rear window. Philly fans….God love em!! There are no fans more passionate about their sports teams than Philly fans. Football, baseball, hockey….high school lacrosse, it doesn’t matter. Philly fans are loyal. The fair weather Arizona fans could learn a lot from the Philly fans.
Good men
There are good men out there that can be faithful to one woman. Unfortunately, there are a lot of women out there that don’t appreciate men like that. Women cheat just as much as men, and the grass is not always greener on the other side.
You might remember Dave Hollister from the R&B group Blackstreet, back in the early 90′s.
Forget about American Idol and head to your local library to find good music. There are tons of artists with good music already produced that people don’t know about. In today’s digital age you can check out music cd’s as well as books at the library.
TLC
Thanks to more movie passes from Cuzzie we went to see Other Guys yesterday. Quite a few funny TLC references in the movie, so I had TLC on the brain. Can you believe it’s been over 8 years since Lisa “left eye” Lopes was killed in a car accident.
Southwest travel
I read that McCarron Airport in Vegas, despite a 15% drop in passenger traffic since 2007, is proceeding forward with 2.4 billion dollar expansion of terminal 3 which will add 14 gates and 2 million sq. ft. of terminal space to the airport. It’s aggressive, but I like it. When the travel industry rebounds they’ll be ready. I still can’t believe people visit the desert in the summertime. The pic is the view we had from our room at Mandalay Bay way back in 2004. Take God for the black out curtains!!!

Crab cakes
I’ve got crab cakes on the brain today. Out here in the desert you’ll see crab cakes advertised on a menu, but trust me it’s not a real, authentic Maryland Crab Cake. Summertime in MD is humid as hell, but nothing beats a bushel of steamed crabs, cold beer and some friends to share it with.
