The unit pulled off an awesome surprise on Cuzzie and Mrs.C two weeks ago. The one and only SiL sneaked into town unannounced for about 96 hours. The pic is fuzzy, but the emotions are real. When she saw SiL in the lobby of her office she screamed and came running out.

Five years ago I was watching the devastation of Katrina on television and saying, “Damn, we were just there a few days ago”. My first trip to New Orleans just happened to be about a week before Katrina hit. Get our troops out of the Iraq and Afghanistan and put them to work helping to rebuild the gulf coast!! There has never been peace in the Middle East, and there never will be.

Homework/Project

Last week I watched a friend help his kids with homework and go through the dinner process with them. Reminded me of the many hours spent over the years helping Cuzzie with her homework. The assignment I was most proud of was her presentation on bridges. I’d help her with any subject except spelling. Why you ask? Plain and simple….she couldn’t spell to save her life.
